The title is the question that was asked today by SurfGirl Mag on twitter. There's one answer to this, for me- DUH! The women's surf industry is blowing up! Take Bethany Hamilton & her blockbuster movie, "Soul Surfer," for example... or Coco Ho being in a Gatorade ad, Laura Enever in a Nike Fit ad, Erica Hosseini in a Verizon ad. The list goes on and on. So, with this in mind, why not aid women's surfing with their growth and provide their own magazine?
Of course, men will always be deemed more important in the sports world, but give the ladies the chance they deserve. There are plenty of girls/women out there who want to learn and grow and who look for tips and advice that surf magazines provide. Sure, we can learn from the guys, but let's be honest... we're girls! I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out that men & women don't think alike, it's actually blatantly obvious. Your thoughts control your actions... therefore, we do things differently from men as well. That includes the art of surfing. So seeing/hearing things from a woman's perspective would be beneficial to a woman. So "does women's surfing deserve its own magazine?" Yah. But, everyone has their own opinion. What do YOU think?
