Azores Islands Pro Winner- Malia Manuel

CONGRATULATIONS to Malia Manuel, the Billabong Women's Azores Islands Pro winner!!! This win was the second consecutive win for Manuel after her domination at the Pantin Classic Pro, just a couple of weeks prior to the Azores event. Malia, born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, has a bright future ahead in the surf world. This past year she has graced the cover of Transworld Surf Magazine's women's issue, was featured in Nike 6.0's Leave A Message (if you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out!), won two star events and has officially qualified for the 2012 ASP Women's World Tour... all at the age of 18! Well done Malia! Looking forward to what this Hawaiian will bring to the tour next year, opposing fellow Hawaiian and current women's world champ, Carissa Moore.
